How Made $2,220 From One Blog Post Using a FREE Traffic Method

Yes, I have made more than $2000 from one blog post.

The good news is that I used a FREE traffic method which means I did not pay for any ads.

Additionally, the strategy I used (Affiliate Marketing) is very beginner friendly, which means anybody can do it!

In this post, I will share the three principles which made that possible.

(see the screenshot evidence)

Note: If you read this post until the end, you will get a step-by-step video guide showing you how I did it.

Principle #1: Write Where You Can Get Paid

I read 200+ words of Facebook posts daily. The likes, comments, and shares will motivate you to write such posts more, but would it not be better if you got paid to write?

I am saying you need to make an intentional decision to publish your best write-ups on platforms where you get paid, like here on medium.

For me to make money with that blog post, I had to start a self-hosted blog professionally.

Such a blog gave me two advantages;

One, I built a source of passive income because I will always make money from that blog post for a lifetime as long as I continue to drive traffic to it.

Two, I have the freedom to write my blog posts freely without length, tone, and monetizing restrictions since I published in on a self-hosted platform.

Principle #2: Dare To Learn

Two strategies helped me make that money from that blog post: Affiliate Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

It took a very steep learning curve before I cracked the code behind making money with these two strategies. I did not make any money from my first blog for a whole year!

For example, these are some learning opportunities I used;

· I am subscribed to more than five SEO and digital marketing channels.

· I follow more than ten blogs and websites on these two niches -I visit them every time they publish a post.

· I am a member of the best Facebook groups for bloggers.

· I had to learn some tips from my mentor.

· I bought an SEO course (Stupid Simple SEO) worth more than $500.

Principle #3: Don’t just “tell”, make sure you “show.”

The content I wrote in that blog post follows two techniques; the “skyscraper technique” and the “content is king model.”

Go to Google and type any of those phrases to get an in-depth understanding.

A post less than 1000 words will not make you that kind of money.

In my case, the post in the reference more than 4000 words.

It was that long because I made sure I answered all the questions of the reader. My goal was not to tell the what, where, and when but also to show them the how and why.

You must sell people value and solve their problems for them to trust and buy from you!

Don’t just tell, show

Conclusion

I am a self-taught blogger. If I did it, you could do it too.

All you need is the right knowledge to get you started on the right path.
